How do you get from the airport into the city?
The drive from Zadar Airport to Zadar old town is 11 km and takes 15 minutes.
Liburnija runs a public bus from Zadar Airport via Gaženica ferry port and Zadar Bus Station to the old town, in about 20 minutes. The fare is EUR 5.00 one way with luggage included, and the ticket is valid for 90 minutes on city buses. The bus runs to a fixed timetable published monthly, not timed to flight arrivals.
Taxis use a stand opposite the arrivals exit and run 24 hours a day. Deposit, transmission and free cancellation are shown on each car before payment, next to the price of a car at Zadar Airport.
Is the bus a better option than hiring?
The airport bus stops at Gaženica ferry port, Zadar Bus Station and the old town. At Zadar Bus Station, the airport bus leaves from platform 8.
Krka (Skradin) is 50 minutes and Plitvice Lakes 2 h 15 from Zadar Airport by car.

Where do you leave the car in the city?
The historic core of Zadar's peninsula is a pedestrian zone. No vehicle may drive in without a special City permit, and general visitor driving is not one of the permit purposes.
Obala i lučice runs the city's paid parking zones, each with its own SMS number. Zone 1 is limited to 3 hours from 15 June to 31 August, and non-residents may park in the residents' Zone 0 for up to 1 hour. Parking and fines are the renter's cost.
Payment is at a parking meter, by SMS of the registration plate to the zone's number, or through the e-Parking app or portal. Garage Center at 112. brigade ZNG 1 has 630 spaces and is open 24 hours, and Obala i lučice also runs a 53-space lot on Branimirova obala and the 115-space Ljepotica lot.
How long does the drive back take?
The routed drive between the airport and the old town is 15 minutes for 11 km. For a rental that finishes down the coast rather than back at the airport, the one-way fee is set per car and is already included in the price shown for that car before payment.
The deposit the supplier asks for is set per car and shown on the offer, and some companies retain it for 30 to 45 days after the car is returned. A fine or unpaid toll from the rental period is charged to the deposit, with administrative expenses in the case of fines. What closes the roads north of Zadar?

Pag town is 59 km and 1 h 10 from Zadar Airport, and Pag is joined to the mainland by the Pag bridge.
Where can you park on the peninsula, and how far are the drives?
The pedestrian zone does not cover the whole peninsula. Paid parking on parts of the peninsula and on Branimirova obala is divided into a blue first zone and a white second zone, which differ in parking regime and price.
